In the blink of an eye…

October 13, 2008

In the blink of an eye, everything changes. My two beautiful daughters have grown so much! It seems as if just yesterday that we were enjoying the pool and playing in the sprinklers. Now summer is over and the cool weather clothes are all packed up and off to other little girls and new homes. Although I nearly always have a camera in hand, I often attempt to just relax and enjoy my children. So as I packed up their summer clothes, I was sad and misty eyed. Did I take enough pictures? Did I remember to get a photo of Sarah in her favorite dress? What about Malia and her adorable swimsuit?  At times I get so involved in creating memories for my girls, that I don’t always take the time to capturethe memories too. So here is your reminder, for fall. Take a moment to caputure the special events and memories as they occur. In the blink of an eye, your children will be grown and the baby clothes will be gone forever. Whether the photography is professional or not doesn’t matter, just remember to capturethose memories. Years from now you may forget just how cute your baby looked in tights, and how much she enjoyed her new Holiday dress shoes. Not to mention how they looked in their a halloween costumes! Don’t let those moments get lost, take a moment to pick up your camera or schedule a professional session. If you don’t the moment may be lost forever. What do you want to caputure and remember about the fall? I have thousands of photos on my computer of this summer, yet I wish I had even more. In a blink of an eye, my girls have grown and changed. Now we are on to new adventures and our summer experiences are behind us forever. I will miss they summer, but I am looking forward to fall and the new adventures and experiences we will have!

Here is your assignment. Take a moment to reflect on the summer and think of your favorite photo. Then post it here or email it to me and I will post it for you. Let’s say goodbye to summer and welcome the fall! Goodbye Summer 2008 we will miss you!
